This project has been promoted as a key initiative to expand the foundation for night tourism by linking the Nakdong River Source Healing City Tower, scheduled for completion in the second half of 2025, with Taebaek's representative tourist attraction, Hwangji Pond.
Various landscape lights and sculptures have been installed across the 41,800-square-meter park site. The city completed the design and detailed engineering services in the first half of this year and has been carrying out the project with the goal of completing all construction within the year.
During the lighting ceremony, the operation of the lights was demonstrated on-site, which is expected to strengthen the connection with existing tourist resources, expand Taebaek's night tourism content, and enhance the park's evening visitation environment. As a result, Taebaek's competitiveness in night tourism is expected to be further enhanced.
