Improving Efficiency in Account Management
LG Uplus announced on the 21st that it will add new features to its integrated account management solution, AlphaKey. View original imageAlphaKey is LG Uplus’s Identity Management as a Service (IDaaS), which automatically manages business accounts and access permissions based on employee identity and HR information. Security has been enhanced by applying quantum-resistant encryption and homomorphic encryption technologies. Permissions are automatically granted or revoked according to information on new hires and departing employees.
Unlike overseas IDaaS solutions, which operate complex pricing plans segmented by feature, AlphaKey offers a single pricing plan that allows companies to manage all their accounts with just the basic features, thereby improving operational efficiency and security for clients.
In particular, the newly added features-Workflow Studio, Mobile Device Management (MDM) integration, and API integration-are core functions that enable companies to shift their IT operations to an “automated, secure, and integrated management” model. These features reduce the burden of repetitive work, implement security centered on approved devices, and provide a foundation for connecting various SaaS and in-house systems into a single workflow.
The most notable feature in this update is Workflow Studio. By simply setting up rules without writing code, repetitive tasks such as creating accounts for new hires, configuring program access permissions by department, and cleaning up long-inactive accounts can be automated. This significantly improves the efficiency of account management tasks, especially as company size increases.
AlphaKey also supports integration of corporate IT systems through its API integration feature. Connecting systems is essential for unified management of various business platforms such as collaboration tools and ERP. By utilizing API integration, companies can directly call AlphaKey’s account management functions from within their business systems. Key AlphaKey features-such as viewing user lists, granting permissions, and creating accounts-are provided via API, allowing AlphaKey’s functions to be executed within integrated business systems.
The update also adds an MDM integration feature to enhance security. This addresses the growing security risks as remote work and the use of personal devices increase. Login can be restricted to only company-approved devices, and devices that lack security patches or unregistered personal smartphones and laptops are automatically blocked at the access stage.
