'Kim Keonhee Special Prosecutor' Investigation Period Extended by 30 Days Until December 28
President Lee Jaemyung Approves Extension of Investigation Period
President Lee Jaemyung approved an extension of the investigation period for the Kim Keonhee special prosecutor on November 19. As a result, the investigation will continue until December 28.
Kang Yujeong, spokesperson for the presidential office, announced, "The Kim Keonhee special prosecutor requested a 30-day extension of the investigation period from President Lee in accordance with Article 9, Paragraph 4 of the Kim Keonhee Special Prosecutor Act," adding, "President Lee reviewed and approved the request for an extension of the investigation period."
Spokesperson Kang also stated, "We expect the special prosecutor to continue conducting a fair and objective investigation in accordance with the law and principles."

With President Lee's approval of the extension, the special prosecutor's investigation, which was originally scheduled to conclude on November 28, has now been extended until December 28. Previously, the Kim Keonhee special prosecutor team was launched in July and has extended the investigation period twice. Once the investigation is completed by December 28, no further extensions will be possible.
