'Bride of the Water God' Returns to the Present Day After 11 Years
Sequel to Begin Serialization on Kakao Webtoon on November 29

The pure love comic "Bride of the Water God" by author Yoon Mi-kyung is returning with a sequel after 11 years.
On November 19, Kakao Entertainment announced that it will begin serializing "Bride of the Water God 2" on Kakao Webtoon starting November 29. The original series, which ran from 2006 to 2014, depicted the love story between Habaek, the god of the river, and Soah, a human girl offered as his bride, gaining immense popularity.
The sequel shifts the setting to the present day. It follows the story of an ordinary high school girl, Soah, who begins to dream of her past life and then meets Habaek, a man who claims to be the god of the river.

On the same day, the sequel to the Eastern fantasy webtoon "Surindang," titled "Surindang Seonggunjeon," will also be released after two years. The story centers on the sealed emperor Jeonuk, who plots schemes to oppose the birth of a sage king.
