The Mudeung Eulim Award is presented annually by the Gwangju Medical Association on Gwangju Doctors' Day to physicians who have made significant contributions to the medical and academic fields in the Gwangju region.
Professor Lim has published more than 100 papers in domestic and international journals and authored over 10 books. He has also presented the results of more than 180 research studies at various academic conferences, demonstrating extensive research activity. He was recognized for his significant contributions to the development of regional healthcare by applying non-invasive pain treatment methods in clinical practice.

Professor Lim is currently active in various fields, including being selected as a featured doctor on EBS's "Myungui," serving as a reviewer and editorial board member for the Korean Journal of Pain, chairing the editorial committee of the Korean Pain Society, being a full member of the International Association for the Study of Pain, and serving as president of the Korean Thermology Society.
