The court issued arrest warrants after holding a pre-trial detention hearing for A and his accomplice the previous day, citing concerns that they might flee.
A and his accomplice are accused of abducting a male YouTuber in his 30s, identified as B, and attempting to kill him by repeatedly striking him with a blunt object after forcing him into a vehicle at around 10:40 p.m. on October 26 in the underground parking lot of an apartment in Songdo-dong, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon.
According to the police investigation, the suspects lured B to the parking lot of his apartment by promising him money, then forced him into their vehicle and drove approximately 200 kilometers to Geumsan County, South Chungcheong Province.
Police tracked the vehicle after receiving a report from B and arrested A and his accomplice in South Chungcheong Province as they were caught in the act, four hours after the incident began.
B suffered serious facial injuries from the assault but his life is not in danger, according to reports.
