Daewoong Pharmaceutical Launches 'Impactime A+ Stick Jelly' for Exam-Taking Students
Special Package in Collaboration with Global Esports Team T1
Daewoong Pharmaceutical announced on October 15 that it has launched "Impactime A+ Stick Jelly" for students preparing for exams and teenagers.
According to a survey by the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, one out of five middle and high school students in Korea consumes high-caffeine beverages at least three times a week to stay awake. However, teenagers have a lower ability to metabolize caffeine compared to adults, making them more susceptible to side effects such as heart palpitations, insomnia, indigestion, and nervousness. As a result, the alternative food market for products known as "study jelly" is rapidly growing among teenagers and younger generations, gaining attention as an alternative to coffee and energy drinks.
The newly launched Impactime A+ was developed to meet these consumer needs and is characterized by its convenient stick-type jelly format, making it easy to consume anytime and anywhere. In particular, it combines plant-based natural caffeine and L-theanine in a 2:1 ratio, which helps reduce tension caused by caffeine intake and supports sustained focus. L-theanine is a natural amino acid found in green tea, and studies have reported that when consumed with caffeine, it significantly improves accuracy and concentration in cognitive tasks compared to a placebo.
Additionally, the product contains 200mg each of choline and inositol. Choline and inositol are known for their raw material properties, which respectively increase the synthesis of neurotransmitters and help regulate their balance. Furthermore, the product includes 1,000mg of taurine and eight types of B vitamins to boost energy, as well as 3,000mg of lemon concentrate to provide a refreshing taste that helps wake up drowsiness.
Daewoong Pharmaceutical also collaborated with the global e-sports team T1 to release a limited-edition special package. This package features the slogan "The Secret to Focus for an A+" and images of T1 players, intuitively expressing the concept of "immersion" and further strengthening its connection with the younger generation.
