This comes ten days after the union began a general strike on the 1st, just before the Chuseok holiday.
The union stated, "Union members who participated in the strike will continue their lawful struggle, and branch leaders will maintain their executive strike while engaging in negotiations."
If their demands are not met despite intensive negotiations, the union plans to launch an indefinite strike starting on the 25th. Their demands include switching from the current three-shift, two-team work system to a four-shift, two-team system, as well as improving conditions for employees of subsidiary companies. They also called for measures to prevent industrial accidents, which frequently occur during periods of extreme heat and cold.
