Two Workers Seriously Injured After Falling at Gimpo Tent Construction Site
No Life-Threatening Injuries
Two workers were seriously injured after falling at a tent construction site in Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province.
According to the Gimpo Police Station and Gimpo Fire Station on October 9, at around 10:20 a.m. the previous day, two individuals, including a man in his 50s identified as A, fell from a height of 6 meters to the ground at a tent construction site in Daegot-myeon, Gimpo. As a result of the accident, A and the other worker sustained severe injuries to their heads and lower backs and were transported to the hospital by 119 paramedics for treatment.
It was determined that, at the time of the accident, the workers were installing a steel structure when the lift they were on fell, causing them to fall as well.

The police and fire authorities plan to investigate the specific circumstances of the accident based on witness statements. A fire department official stated, "All the injured showed signs of bleeding but were conscious when transported to the hospital," adding, "Their lives are not in danger."
