Soonchunhyang University Gumi Hospital Holds Meeting with Gyeongbuk Regional Psychological Support Team
Strengthening Cooperation in Medical and Psychological Support for Abused Children
Soonchunhyang University Gumi Hospital (Director: Min Kyungdae), designated as the Gyeongbuk Regional Sprout Guardian Hospital, held a meeting with the Gyeongbuk Regional Psychological Support Team at the hospital on September 29.
This meeting was organized to strengthen the organic cooperation system between the medical and psychological support sectors in order to support the daily recovery of children who have suffered from abuse.
Key officials and staff attended the meeting, including Kim Seongsu, Chair of the Child Protection Committee (Professor of Pediatrics), An Janghwan, Vice Chair of the Child Protection Committee (Professor of Ophthalmology), and Seong Hyeongmo, Committee Member (Professor of Psychiatry).
The meeting proceeded with an introduction to the Sprout Guardian Hospital project, an introduction to the Gyeongbuk Regional Psychological Support Team project, and a Q&A session. The necessity of multidisciplinary support for children and their families, focusing on real-life cases, was discussed. Both institutions agreed to maintain close cooperation and regular communication going forward.
