On September 30, Nobrain announced through its official social media channels that "Jung Wooyong has decided to leave the band due to health reasons and personal circumstances." The band added, "We express our deep gratitude to Jung Wooyong, who has been a great source of strength during our long time together, and we wish him all the best on his new path."
Jung Wooyong first became associated with Nobrain in 2007 as a session musician, and officially joined the band as a member in 2009 with the release of their mini album, the 5.5th album 'Absolutely Summer.'
Nobrain will not be recruiting a new member and will continue their scheduled performances with session musicians. Earlier this year, in February, guitarist Jung Minjun left the band, reducing the lineup to three members. With Jung Wooyong's departure, the band will now continue as a duo, consisting of vocalist Lee Sungwoo and drummer Hwang Hyunseong.
