Final Report Session for Railway KSP Held in Vietnam
The Export-Import Bank of Korea announced on October 1 that it held the final report session for the Economic Development Experience Sharing Program (Vietnam Railway KSP) on "Establishing a Legal Framework for Urban Railway Construction in Vietnam" in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on September 30.
The Vietnam Railway KSP is a bilateral cooperation project jointly promoted by the Export-Import Bank of Korea and the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway Management Board. The project aims to provide policy advice on the systematization of technical regulations for urban railways, strategies for attracting investment in urban railways, and guidelines on the roles of stakeholders.
At the final report session, the Korea Railroad Corporation consortium, which executed the project, presented the research results of the KSP tasks conducted over the past nine months. The consortium also offered final recommendations for improving laws and systems related to urban railways.
More than 50 participants attended the final report session, including Mr. Bui Anh Huan, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway Management Board, as well as officials from the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Department of Finance, and Department of Construction, along with representatives from government agencies, public institutions, academia, and businesses from both countries.
