Appointment of Orthopedic Specialist Beomseok Lee as Head of Department
SMG Yonsei Hospital has newly appointed orthopedic specialist Beomseok Lee as Head of Department to strengthen its capabilities in orthopedic care.
Beomseok Lee specializes in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee, ligament reconstruction, diabetic foot treatment, and fracture and trauma care. He is set to provide personalized treatment for patients based on his extensive clinical experience and research background.
Dr. Lee graduated from Kosin University College of Medicine and completed his internship and residency at Gwangmyeong Sungae Hospital. He further built his clinical and academic expertise as a clinical instructor at the Joint Center of Seoul National University Bundang Hospital and through the graduate program at Chung-Ang University College of Medicine.
He has since expanded his expertise by serving as Head of Orthopedics and residency training specialist at Gwangmyeong Sungae Hospital, clinical advisor at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital, Head of Orthopedics at Donghae Hanmaeum Hospital, and Head of Orthopedics at Solton Hospital.
He is also proficient in a wide range of non-surgical treatments, such as extracorporeal shockwave therapy and trigger point injections, enabling him to offer multifaceted treatment options tailored to each patient's condition.
Actively involved in academic activities, Dr. Lee is a full member of several societies, including the Korean Orthopaedic Association, Korean Knee Society, Korean Hip Society, Korean Diabetic Foot Society, and Korean Wound Management Society. He has also completed numerous workshops in the fields of shoulder, knee, elbow, hand, and spine through leading universities and academic societies in Korea, continuously acquiring the latest treatment techniques.
