Kumho Tire Donates 550,000 Masks to Gwangju Social Welfare Council
As Part of the Community Health Maintenance Initiative
On September 26, as part of its community health maintenance initiative, Kumho Tire donated 550,000 disposable masks to the Gwangju Social Welfare Council.
The donation ceremony, held that afternoon at the Gwangju Social Welfare Council Hall, was attended by Kim Youngki, President of the Gwangju Social Welfare Council, and Hwang Hogil, Head of Production and Operations at Kumho Tire.

View original imageThe masks will be distributed to social welfare organizations in the Gwangju area through the Gwangju Social Welfare Council. The Gwangju Social Welfare Council is a statutory body established under Article 33 of the Social Welfare Act. Social welfare-related institutions and organizations in the Gwangju area participate as members, promoting civic engagement in social welfare and contributing to the improvement and development of community welfare.
Its main initiatives include social contribution projects, community support, coordination and establishment of public-private-government networks, collaborative projects, education and training programs, and social welfare volunteer activities.
Kim Youngki, President of the Gwangju Social Welfare Council, stated, "This support is not just a simple donation of goods, but an expression of warm solidarity and consideration for the most vulnerable members of our society. It will greatly help protect the health of the elderly and support children to grow up bright and healthy."
