2027 Seoul World Youth Day Theme Song Contest: "Take Courage. I Have Conquered the World"
Submissions Accepted Until November 30
On September 25, 2025, the Local Organizing Committee for the 2027 Seoul World Youth Day announced that, in collaboration with the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life of the Vatican, it will hold the '2027 World Youth Day Theme Song Contest.'
Contestants may submit their entries in one of the official World Youth Day languages: Korean, English, Italian, Spanish, French, or Portuguese. Anyone, regardless of religion, nationality, or region, is eligible to participate. Each entry must incorporate the theme scripture, "Take courage. I have conquered the world" (John 16:33). Individuals or teams may submit up to three songs, and the deadline for submissions is November 30, 2025.
Father Choi Hoyoung, Chair of the Music Committee in the Liturgy Division of the Local Organizing Committee for World Youth Day, stated, "Through this contest, we hope to widely share the spirit of World Youth Day and enable participants to reflect on the theme scripture and unite through music."
