[Market Focus] Polaris AI Jumps 11% on Expectations of Synergy with HandySoft
Polaris AI is showing strong performance in early trading.
As of 9:02 a.m. on September 23, Polaris AI was trading at 2,695 won, up 11.59% (280 won) from the previous day.
Investor sentiment appears to have been boosted by expectations that Polaris AI, having completed the acquisition of groupware specialist HandySoft, will accelerate its entry into the business-to-government (B2G) and business-to-business (B2B) markets.
HandySoft, which Polaris AI acquired on September 10, is a collaboration software company with over 1,300 clients and more than 2 million users across public, financial, corporate, education, and medical sectors. Through this acquisition, the Polaris Group has secured a portfolio that spans office software, groupware, and artificial intelligence.
In the first half of this year, Polaris AI posted consolidated sales of 154.2 billion won (up 28% year-on-year) and operating profit of 5.6 billion won (down 7%). In particular, its core software segment continued to grow in both the B2C (consumer market) and B2B (corporate client) sectors, increasing by 11% compared to the previous year.
