Hyundai Transys Ranks First for Second Consecutive Year in JD Power Seat Satisfaction Survey
Hyundai Transys Achieves Top Spot in Mid- to Large-Sized Car Seat Quality This Year
Following Last Year’s First Place in Compact Car Seats
Hyundai Transys has proven its world-class quality competitiveness by ranking first for the second consecutive year in seat quality satisfaction surveys conducted by the U.S. market research firm J.D. Power.
On September 2, Hyundai Transys announced that it had secured the top spot in the mid- and full-size car seat evaluation for general brands (Hyundai Sonata) in J.D. Power's "2025 Seat Quality Satisfaction Survey."
Following its first-place finish in the compact car seat evaluation last year, Hyundai Transys achieved the highest score in the mid- and full-size car category this year, securing the number one position in the sedan seat segment for two consecutive years.
Hyundai Transys seats also demonstrated high satisfaction in the general brand sports utility vehicle (SUV) seat evaluation. The compact SUV seat ranked second (Kia Sportage), while the mid- and full-size SUV seat ranked third (Kia Sorento).
The J.D. Power 2025 Seat Quality Satisfaction Survey aggregates quality complaints from U.S. owners who have had 2025 model year vehicles for more than 90 days, expressing the number of complaints per 100 vehicles as a score. A lower score indicates fewer complaints and, therefore, higher quality satisfaction.

Starting with second place for compact car seats (Hyundai Accent) and third place (Kia Forte) in the general brand category in 2020, Hyundai Transys went on to achieve third place in the premium brand category with the Genesis G90 seat in 2021.
In 2022, it secured second place for compact car seats (Kia Forte), second place for compact SUV seats (Kia Soul), and third place for mid- and full-size SUV seats (Kia Sorento). In 2023, it ranked second for both compact cars (Kia Rio) and mid- and full-size SUVs (Kia Sorento). In 2024, it achieved first place for the first time in the compact car seat category (Kia Forte).
