NamuX Obtains IoT Security Certification from Korea Internet & Security Agency
A Milestone in Securing Trust Across All Security Domains
SK Intellix announced on August 21 that its wellness robotics brand, NamuX, has obtained Internet of Things (IoT) security certification from the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA).
The KISA IoT Security Certification is a nationally accredited system that verifies the security of various IoT products, such as robot vacuum cleaners and wall pads, to ensure their safe use. The certification is granted only after a comprehensive evaluation of a product's security features, personal data protection system, and vulnerability response procedures, requiring the product to pass a rigorous, months-long in-depth review and meet dozens of security verification criteria.
SK Intellix places particular significance on the fact that this achievement was made under KISA's recently strengthened review standards. By meeting security requirements that span the entire product lifecycle, the company believes NamuX has officially demonstrated its sustainable security capabilities, from initial design to post-release management.
A NamuX representative stated, "Through this certification, we have secured reliability across all major security domains, including device security, data protection, encryption and communication security, and software updates," adding, "We have also achieved a milestone by demonstrating compliance with global security recommendations set by key countries such as those in Europe and the United States."

NamuX is a wellness robot equipped with air solution, vital sign check, voice control, and daily conversation functions. From the development stage, it was designed with an on-device security system, ensuring that sensitive personal information such as voice, facial, and biometric data is not stored on external servers but is instead processed only within the device in encrypted form. In May, NamuX further enhanced its security stability by conducting a large-scale bug bounty program involving over 100 ethical hackers, who thoroughly tested the system for vulnerabilities from multiple perspectives.
