"Detecting Assignments Written with GPT-5"... Muhayu Updates Plagiarism Detection Solution
AI specialist company Muhayu has updated its generative AI detection service, "GPT Killer," to include GPT-5 detection capabilities. GPT Killer is the first generative AI plagiarism detection solution introduced in Korea by Muhayu.
Muhayu carried out this update due to concerns that, as the performance of the latest AI models such as GPT-5 improves, the generated text becomes more sophisticated and may become difficult to identify with existing verification tools. In particular, the company considered the increasing demand for more accurate verification tools, as the uniformity of AI-generated sentences can weaken individuality and distinctiveness in documents such as self-introductions or reports.
Not only for GPT-5, but also for major generative AI models such as Claude 4 and Gemini 2.5 Pro, Muhayu has rapidly updated its detection models through a proprietary learning pipeline whenever new versions are released. This latest update also responded immediately after the launch of GPT-5, ensuring that educational institutions and businesses can continue to rely on a trustworthy verification environment.
GPT Killer combines the document data accumulated through Muhayu's AI plagiarism detection service "Copy Killer" with its expertise in Korean natural language understanding (NLU). The AI analyzes documents at the paragraph level and determines the probability that each section was generated by generative AI. By reverse-tracking the probability of tokens (words) likely created by generative AI, it identifies AI-generated content with a high accuracy rate of 98%.
Depending on the document type, dedicated modules are applied to analyze various documents such as assignments, self-introductions, academic papers, and student records in detail. This customized approach, which reflects the unique characteristics of each document, increases accuracy compared to using a single module for all document types.
