The playbook also incorporates practical know-how accumulated through various support programs, such as the "Moonshot Program," which helps domestic companies entering or planning to enter the Japanese market recruit "bridge talent" with business experience in both Korea and Japan.
The playbook features the results of a survey conducted with 44 startups that are either considering or have already entered the Japanese market. It outlines the reasons why Korean startups find the Japanese market attractive and identifies the main obstacles they face during the entry process.
The Startup Japan Entry Playbook is available for free download on the Startup Alliance website and the events section of the official Wanted Lab website.
Kang Chulho, CEO of Wanted Japan, said, "Understanding the Japanese business culture of the 'art of slowness,' securing bridge talent, and building strategic partnerships will greatly help reduce trial and error through effective localization strategies."
