CI Tech Achieves 1.1 Billion KRW Net Profit in First Half, Turns to Profit
CI Tech successfully turned a profit in the first half of this year.
On August 18, CI Tech announced that it recorded sales of 29.3 billion KRW, operating profit of 900 million KRW, and net profit of 1.1 billion KRW in the first half. Compared to the same period last year, sales increased by 34%, and the company swung to an operating profit. This marks a significant turnaround in performance within a year, considering that in the first half of last year, the company posted an operating loss of 1.8 billion KRW and a net loss of 2.6 billion KRW.
The company explained, "Both the first and second quarters showed continued improvement, and the overall structural reform of our profit model played a key role."
The rebound in performance was driven by strong sales of high value-added products such as HiFi ROSE, as well as improved results from subsidiaries. A CI Tech representative stated, "Streamlining our cost structure and shifting to a profitability-focused strategy were decisive factors," adding, "Restructuring our core business and expanding into new markets were also major contributors."
For the second half of the year, CI Tech plans to focus its marketing capabilities on three main strategies: acquiring new customers, enhancing profitability, and entering new businesses. A company official commented, "This achievement is not a one-off event but the first result of a structural transformation," and added, "We will continue this positive trend in the second half of the year based on our technological competitiveness."
