The "KT Sound Recovery" project, held on the 13th, brought together KT, Chonnam National University Hospital, and the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs. On this day, Professor Cho Hyungho of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology gave up his day off to provide dedicated medical care exclusively for senior national merit recipients.
Going beyond simply providing hearing aids, the project offered the highest level of medical service by delivering precise diagnosis and specialized hearing consultations at a university hospital, and custom-making the most suitable hearing aids for each individual senior.
This initiative will not only provide dedicated care and hearing aid production for national merit recipients, but will also cover the cost of cochlear implant surgery for those who require it.
Yang Seunghwan, a family member of a Korean War veteran, said, "My father, who was a war veteran, passed away a few years ago, and I brought my mother, who has hearing difficulties, for treatment. Thanks to this excellent program, I believe my mother will be able to listen more closely to the sounds of the world. I am grateful to the professor and KT for opening the door to communication."
