Pyeongtaek City Launches Facility to Improve Conditions for Abandoned and Abused Animals
Pyeongtaek City in Gyeonggi Province announced on August 14 that it held an opening ceremony for the 'Pyeongtaek City Animal Protection Center,' which was established in Yulbuk-ri, Cheongbuk-eup, on August 13 and has now begun operations.

View original imageThe establishment of this center aims to improve animal welfare by transitioning from the previously outsourced system for protecting abandoned, lost, and abused animals to a directly managed system.
The center is a one-story building with a basement, with a total floor area of 1,420 square meters. It is equipped with offices, an animal hospital, an education room, an adoption counseling room, grooming facilities, and a playground.
Animal rescue and care services are available year-round without any holidays. Adoption counseling is available not only on weekdays but also on Saturdays.
