[Click eStock] "TLB Achieves Record-High Quarterly Sales"
On August 13, Daishin Securities stated that TLB achieved its highest-ever quarterly sales in the second quarter of this year and predicted that the company's performance improvement trend would continue.
In the second quarter, TLB posted sales of 64.1 billion KRW and operating profit of 6.9 billion KRW. Compared to the same period last year, sales increased by 62.2%, and the company turned to an operating profit.
Park Kangho, a researcher at Daishin Securities, said, "TLB delivered results that exceeded market expectations," and explained, "Sales increased as Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix expanded supplies of server DDR5 memory module 6400 series." He added, "The operating margin rose by 7.2 percentage points from the previous quarter, thanks to a higher proportion of high-value-added products with higher prices."
Researcher Park analyzed, "With the spread of artificial intelligence (AI) and the increase in data processing, investments in servers and data centers are continuing," and added, "There is also active replacement with high-performance semiconductors and DDR5 modules to improve server performance."
He emphasized, "Revenue related to SOCAMM, led by Nvidia, is expected to be generated next year," and noted, "Micron is preparing for mass production, and Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix are also expected to begin mass production starting next year." He further explained, "TLB is considered to be in the stage of preparing for mass production after sample runs with the three memory semiconductor companies," and interpreted this as business diversification into the legacy (general-purpose) semiconductor sector as Nvidia expands its presence in the AI domain within the semiconductor market."
It is estimated that TLB will achieve sales of 243.7 billion KRW and operating profit of 21.5 billion KRW this year, representing increases of 35.4% and 540.6%, respectively, compared to last year.
