This video, filmed on location during a vision trip in the Philippines, features Jungmin Lee sharing heartfelt stories, including the inspiration she received from meeting local children, a special reunion with Cheri, a child she has sponsored for 12 years, and her first encounter with her husband, which happened through Compassion.
"Gsase" is an interview series by Korea Compassion that highlights the lives, values, and stories of sharing from Christian celebrities. It is released on YouTube on the first Thursday of every month. Recent guests have included comedian Euni Song, singer Bumsoo Kim, actress Sieun Park, and football commentator Youngpyo Lee, representing a wide range of fields.
The Compassion vision trip is a program that allows sponsors to visit child development sites, directly experience the lives of the children, and interact with them. Returning to the vision trip for the first time in 14 years since 2011, Jungmin Lee recalled, "Seeing the local children naturally reminded me of the days when I dreamed of becoming an announcer." She offered sincere encouragement to children who feel pressured to compromise their dreams due to difficult circumstances, saying, "I hope you do not underestimate yourself or set limits on your potential, but dream big."
She was also reunited with Cheri, the child she has sponsored for 12 years. When Cheri handed her a carefully written letter in imperfect Korean, Jungmin Lee said, "Thank you for growing up so well. You are so special." Cheri reportedly shed tears during the reunion.
