Strengthening the Foundation for Training Employment Service Professionals
Students from Korea University of Technology and Education are currently enhancing their global competencies by experiencing advanced employment service sites in Mannheim and Frankfurt, Germany, from August 2 to August 10.
According to Korea University of Technology and Education on August 7, this study tour was organized to experience and exchange knowledge about Germany's employment service system. The students are visiting a total of five institutions: the University of the Federal Employment Agency (HdBA), Mannheim Employment Agency, private institution ad laborem, Job Centre in Neustadt, and Offenbach Employment Center.
This exchange program is part of the ongoing cooperation established by an MOU signed between the two universities in 2022. Following the visit of HdBA to Korea in 2023, students from Korea University of Technology and Education are now visiting Germany in 2024.
The participants include Professor Keum Changmin, as well as nine undergraduate and graduate students from the Department of Employment Service Policy and the School of Electrical, Electronic, and Communication Engineering.
Professor Jedzejczyk of HdBA stated, "The active exchanges between the two universities are becoming a meaningful example of international cooperation."
President Yoo Gilsang said, "I hope this tour will serve as a solid foundation for nurturing practical employment service professionals."

Meanwhile, Korea University of Technology and Education expects this tour to have multiple effects, including expanding international cooperation, supporting students' career planning, and strengthening field-oriented expertise.
