NHN Payco Easy Payment Service Launched at Starbucks Stores Nationwide
Available at Stores Nationwide Starting August 4
NHN Payco announced on August 4 that it has officially launched the Payco easy payment service at Starbucks stores nationwide.
Customers can generate a barcode in the Payco application and have it scanned at Starbucks stores to make payments. They can choose to pay with Payco Points or with a credit or debit card registered in the app.
NHN Payco expanded its service to include general payments after introducing Payco meal voucher payments in October last year.
NHN Payco explained that this update has enhanced the convenience of using Payco meal vouchers for payments.
Previously, only meal vouchers could be used, which caused inconvenience when the balance was insufficient. Now, as long as the barcode is scanned, the meal voucher balance is deducted first, and any remaining amount is automatically paid with points or a credit or debit card, allowing for more flexible payments.
A Starbucks-exclusive promotion is also being held. From today until August 31, customers who pay with Payco Points and spend at least 10,000 won or 20,000 won will receive 1,000 or 2,500 Payco Points, respectively. The promotion can be used once per day and up to three times during the event period.
