Woori Bank Publishes 'ESG Survival Kit' for Teenagers
On July 30, Woori Bank announced that it has published an ESG educational booklet tailored to teenagers, titled "Survival Kit," and released it on its official website.
This booklet is designed to make the concept of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), which may be unfamiliar and difficult for teenagers, easy and enjoyable to understand by featuring Woori Bank's main character, "WiBee." In particular, the title "Survival Kit" conveys the message that ESG is an essential survival tool for teenagers in the rapidly changing future society.
The booklet consists of four chapters: △The relationship between finance and ESG △Examining consumption and daily life from an ESG perspective △ESG in data △ESG and my future. It explains the impact on the environment and society through everyday examples familiar to teenagers, such as smartphone use and fast fashion, and suggests ESG activities that can be practiced in daily life. In addition, it is designed based on the six core competencies of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) suggested by UNESCO, so that teenagers can prepare for a sustainable future through finance and consumption that take ESG into account.
The "Survival Kit" can be found on the Woori Bank website under "All Menu ▷ About the Bank/IR ▷ ESG Management ▷ ESG Performance."
