Representative Han Jeoungae Donates 5 Million Won to Korean Red Cross for Flood Recovery
The Korean Red Cross (President Kim Cheol-soo) announced on the 23rd that National Assembly member Han Jeoungae of the Democratic Party of Korea (Seoul Gangseo-gu Byeong) donated 5 million won to support the swift recovery of flood-affected areas and assist disaster victims following recent heavy rainfall. The entire donation will be used for the Korean Red Cross's relief projects, including recovery and aid activities in flood-damaged regions.
Representative Han Jeoungae has been a regular donor to the Korean Red Cross and has continuously participated in sharing activities for marginalized groups in society since 2014. She also donated funds to support disaster victims during the recent wildfires in North Gyeongsang Province, bringing her total donations to the Korean Red Cross to 23 million won. In recognition of these contributions, she was awarded the Honorary Medal for Distinguished Service in 2021.
