Seongju County Delivers Gift to 1,000th Newborn Kim Seongju Born Through Visiting Obstetrics Service on June 23
On July 22, the Seongju County Public Health Center delivered a congratulatory gift for the birth of the 1000th newborn baby, Kim Seongju, who was born through the Visiting Obstetrics and Gynecology Service, in accordance with the baby's vaccination schedule.
Kim Seongju, born on June 23, is the fourth child of mother Eom Eun-jin, age 37. On this day, the baby visited the Seongju County Public Health Center to receive vaccinations.
The health center presented the congratulatory gift to celebrate the healthy birth of the baby and to share in the family's joy.
This celebration was organized to share the meaningful achievements of the Visiting Obstetrics and Gynecology Service with the local community and to provide practical support in the early stages of childbirth and child-rearing.
Since 2010, Seongju County has been operating the Visiting Obstetrics and Gynecology Service in cooperation with Andong Medical Center, providing free medical services such as prenatal checkups, ultrasound examinations, and congenital anomaly screenings using a mobile clinic vehicle.
By improving access to medical care for pregnant women, more than 6,300 mothers in Seongju County have benefited from this program to date.
An official from the health center stated, "We are deeply honored to be able to extend our congratulations to the 1000th newborn," and added, "We will continue our efforts to make Seongju a place where children can be born healthy and raised safely, and where families can feel confident about having and raising children."
Meanwhile, Seongju County is recognized for its comprehensive efforts to overcome the low birth rate by implementing various policies such as the First Meeting Voucher, child-rearing subsidies, and postpartum care support as part of its childbirth promotion initiatives.
