Samsung Securities Lists Four New ETNs
Samsung Securities announced on July 21 that it has newly listed four types of ETNs that allow investment in shipbuilding and secondary battery industry stocks.
The newly listed 'Samsung iSelect Shipbuilding TOP10 TR ETN' and 'Samsung KRX Secondary Battery TOP10 TR ETN' are products based on indices composed of 10 representative stocks from each respective sector.
The 'Samsung iSelect Shipbuilding TOP10 TR ETN' was launched in response to rising expectations for investment in the domestic shipbuilding industry, as demand for ships remains solid due to the expanding need for eco-friendly energy. This product tracks the iSelect Shipbuilding TOP10 TR Index, which consists of 10 companies listed on the Korea Exchange that are involved in shipbuilding, engines, and related equipment.
The management fee (total expense ratio) for the 'Samsung iSelect Shipbuilding TOP10 TR ETN', which tracks the iSelect Shipbuilding TOP10 TR Index at a 1x rate, is 0.25% per year. The 'Samsung iSelect Leverage Shipbuilding TOP10 TR ETN', which tracks the daily returns of the same index at a 2x rate, has an annual fee of 1.50%.
The 'Samsung KRX Secondary Battery TOP10 TR ETN' was launched with a focus on the medium- to long-term growth potential of the sector, despite recent market adjustments. This product tracks the KRX Secondary Battery TOP10 TR Index, which consists of 10 leading companies in the secondary battery industry listed on the Korea Exchange.
The management fee (total expense ratio) for the 'Samsung KRX Secondary Battery TOP10 TR ETN', which tracks the KRX Secondary Battery TOP10 TR Index at a 1x rate, is 0.25% per year. The 'Samsung KRX Leverage Secondary Battery TOP10 TR ETN', which tracks the daily returns of the same index at a 2x rate, has an annual fee of 1.50%.
A Samsung Securities representative stated, "The shipbuilding industry is expected to enter a full-fledged business cycle, and secondary batteries continue to attract attention as a key medium- to long-term theme," adding, "These are good products for investors seeking to invest broadly in the shipbuilding and secondary battery sectors, focusing on leading stocks within each industry."
