The induction ceremony was held on July 17 at the 'Hall of Fame' inside the Love Fruit headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul. Baek, her family, and representatives from Love Fruit attended the event to share this meaningful moment. Baek's donation will be used in the future to support vulnerable groups and marginalized neighbors in society.
Baek began her writing career in January last year with the novel "Sihanbu." The work delicately portrayed the depression and struggles of adolescents and achieved the distinction of remaining number one on the youth bestseller list for 20 consecutive weeks immediately after publication. Since then, she has solidified her position as a youth writer by publishing several works, including "Growing Pains," "As Long As I Remember," and "Yunseul's Sea."
Regarding her decision to donate, Baek said, "I thought about how I could give back the love I received from so many readers, and that led me to decide to donate. I hope to inspire peers to dream of becoming writers, and I will continue to write stories that can offer comfort and empathy to those who are struggling."
