Cooling Lab CEO Seongbong Lee Donates 20 Million KRW Development Fund to Korea University of Technology and Education
Alumnus Demonstrates Love for Alma Mater
"Hoping to Contribute to the Growth of Junior Students"

View original imageCooling Lab Co., Ltd., an electronic component manufacturing company headquartered in Cheonan, Chungnam, led by CEO Seongbong Lee, donated 20 million KRW as a development fund to Korea University of Technology and Education (President Gilsang Yoo) on July 17, 2025.
The development fund will be used to support programs for students at Korea University of Technology and Education, including the "1,000 KRW Breakfast" initiative.
Cooling Lab specializes in the development and production of thermal dissipation materials that release heat generated in electronic, information, home appliance, and automotive electronic components. The company is rapidly growing based on its outstanding heat transfer technology and a strong domestic and international network.
Seongbong Lee, CEO, stated, "Although it is a small gesture, I hope this contribution will help the development of my alma mater and the future of junior students," adding, "I also hope that alumni interest and a culture of ongoing donations will continue in the future."
Lee is a graduate of the Department of Industrial Mechanical Engineering, class of 1993, and the Graduate School of Mechanical Engineering, class of 1998, at Korea University of Technology and Education. He is also an alumnus of the 12th CEO course.
Since 2023, Lee has served as CEO of Cooling Lab Co., Ltd., and has received various awards, including the Chungnam Technopark Growth Enterprise Award and a commendation from the Minister of Employment and Labor.
President Gilsang Yoo remarked, "CEO Seongbong Lee's act of sharing not only serves as a social model but also greatly contributes to enhancing the reputation of our university," and added, "We will do our utmost, together with all members of the university, to cultivate convergent talent required by the times."
Meanwhile, Korea University of Technology and Education is a specialized university under the Ministry of Education, dedicated to fostering field-ready technical talent through industry-academia cooperation and practice-oriented education. The university continues to earn steady support and trust from industries and local communities nationwide.
