KICPA Signs MOU with Korean Standards Association to Strengthen Sustainability Disclosure Capabilities
The Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants announced on July 15 that it had signed a 'Business Agreement to Strengthen Capabilities and Enhance Reliability in Sustainability Disclosure' with the Korean Standards Association at the main conference room of the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul.

View original imageAs the importance and interest in sustainability disclosure and certification are increasing in Korea, the two organizations will cooperate to promote the spread of sustainable management, strengthen companies' sustainability disclosure capabilities, and enhance the reliability of sustainability information, based on their expertise.
Choi Unyeol, President of the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants, said, "With this agreement, the two organizations are taking the first step toward cooperating in various areas, such as responding to policies related to sustainability disclosure and certification systems and operating educational programs, in line with the demands of the times for sustainability." He added, "Through this collaboration, let us create synergy by supporting the establishment of sustainability systems and corporate sustainable management together."

Going forward, the two organizations will cooperate in various areas, including research on and development of responses to policies and systems related to sustainability disclosure and certification, dissemination of international standards and guidelines related to sustainability, and operation of educational programs related to sustainability disclosure and certification.
