Atinum Investment Invests in US AI Medical Imaging Solution Company "Subtle Medical"
Global Leader in Medical Imaging Acceleration and Generation
Entering the Korean Market in Earnest Through Investment from Major Domestic VC
Domestic venture capital firm Atinum Investment announced on July 9 that it has recently completed an investment in the US startup Subtle Medical.
Subtle Medical is a US-based company specializing in artificial intelligence (AI)-powered medical imaging acceleration and generation solutions. By leveraging deep learning technology, it enables the acquisition of medical imaging data for various modalities up to 80% faster.
For patients, this dramatically reduces the time spent lying still in uncomfortable medical imaging machines. For medical staff and hospitals, it increases the efficiency of expensive imaging equipment and enhances hospital profitability.
In addition, the company is collaborating with the top two global contrast agent companies to launch a solution that generates medical imaging data of the same quality even when the amount of contrast agent administered is reduced by 90%. Subtle Medical also plans to expand into imaging analysis solutions that enable faster and more accurate disease detection based on accelerated medical images.
Subtle Medical is recognized as a team with unrivaled technological capabilities and a deep understanding of the medical imaging industry in the field of medical AI. By exclusively utilizing data accumulated at Stanford Medical Center, the company has established a high entry barrier. Based on this, it currently provides services in a total of 15 countries, including eight European countries, Brazil, Australia, and Singapore, and has achieved the highest cumulative sales for MRI in both the US and China.
Lim Sangmin, Director at Atinum Investment, stated, "Subtle Medical is achieving global leadership in the MRI imaging data market based on its unrivaled technology. In addition, we expect the company to expand its market presence through various other products." He added, "We will continue to identify and invest in companies with globally leading technological competitiveness in specialized AI service sectors."
