[Market Focus] Tscientific Rises on Hopes of Virtual Asset Institutionalization... Gains Attention as Major Bithumb Shareholder
Tscientific is showing strong performance. This is interpreted as being influenced by expectations that the company could benefit as the government moves to institutionalize virtual assets.
As of 10:55 a.m. on June 16, Tscientific was trading at 1,390 won, up 12.73% from the previous day.
According to industry sources, with the inauguration of the Lee Jaemyung administration on June 4, a Presidential Digital Asset Committee is expected to be established. This was one of President Lee's campaign pledges and is also included in the draft of the Basic Digital Asset Act. According to the draft, the Presidential Digital Asset Committee will consist of around 20 members, including the Chairperson of the Financial Services Commission and two civilian co-chairs. The committee aims to fill more than half of its seats with civilian members.
The Presidential Digital Asset Committee is expected to serve as a deliberative and decision-making body for the promotion and development of the virtual asset industry. Until now, only regulatory agencies for the virtual asset industry existed, but with the launch of the new administration, this will be the first time an organization dedicated to industry promotion is established.
