As the military halted its loudspeaker broadcasts toward North Korea for the first time in over a year, stocks related to inter-Korean economic cooperation surged across the board in early trading on June 12.
As of 9:33 a.m. on this day, shares of Joongunsa Ramdeul were trading at 1,396 won on the KOSDAQ market, up 15.47% from the previous trading day.
In addition, J Estina was up 8.16% from the previous session, trading at 3,445 won.
At the same time on the KOSPI market, shares of Indief (up 13.77%), Chobi (up 10.97%), Ilsinseokjae (up 8.86%), and Hyundai Elevator (up 8.14%) were also soaring.
