MNC Solution Signs 26.5 Billion KRW Supply Contract with Hanwha Aerospace
On May 26, MNC Solution, a defense company specializing in Motion & Control (CEO Kim Byungkeun), announced through a contract disclosure that it had signed a supply contract with Hanwha Aerospace to provide K9 self-propelled howitzer parts testing equipment worth 26.5 billion KRW.
Through this contract, MNC Solution will supply eight types of testing equipment for key components installed in the K9 self-propelled howitzers that Hanwha Aerospace is exporting to Poland and Egypt. The contract amount is approximately 17.8 billion KRW for Poland and 8.7 billion KRW for Egypt. The contract periods are from May 26, 2025 to March 23, 2028 for Poland, and until December 14, 2026 for Egypt.
This supply contract is part of the Integrated Product Support (IPS) project for the K9 self-propelled howitzer. MNC Solution will deliver testing equipment for the maintenance and operation of core components such as the gun/turret drive system and suspension system to local system integrators and military organizations. The supplied equipment covers not only component disassembly, maintenance, and testing, but also operational training, and is expected to make a substantial contribution to the advancement of local maintenance systems.
Prior to this contract, in April, MNC Solution had signed a 19.9 billion KRW contract with Hanwha Aerospace to supply hydraulic systems for the K21 infantry fighting vehicle. With the consecutive success of this testing equipment supply contract, the company is solidifying its strategic partnership across the entire ground weapon system sector.
The ongoing collaboration with Hanwha Aerospace is seen as a result of the technical trust built up by MNC Solution through the consistent application of precision motion and hydraulic technology to major K-defense weapon systems such as the K9, K2, Cheonmu, and Redback. As weapon exports continue to expand, the demand for related testing equipment and operational support is also expected to increase sharply.
Kim Byungkeun, CEO of MNC Solution, stated, "The global expansion of K-defense exports and our company's unrivaled technological capabilities were the key factors in securing this contract," adding, "Starting with this supply agreement, we will continue to achieve tangible results in various business sectors, including direct overseas exports."
