BTS V's "Slow Dancing" Surpasses 500 Million Streams on Spotify
V, a member of the group BTS (real name Kim Taehyung), has achieved 500 million streams for his solo track "Slow Dancing" on the world's largest music platform, Spotify.
According to his agency BigHit Music on the 23rd, the title track "Slow Dancing" from V's first solo album "Layover" reached a cumulative total of 500 million streams as of the 21st. This marks his third song to surpass 500 million streams, following "Love Me Again" and "FRI(END)S." With this achievement, V now has a total of 12 solo tracks with over 100 million streams each on Spotify.
"Slow Dancing" is a Pop R&B genre song based on 1970s soul sound, characterized by a structure that incorporates jazz elements and an improvised flute performance in the latter part of the track. V's romantic and relaxed vocals blend together to create the song's signature tranquil atmosphere.
Upon its release in September 2023, the song ranked 51st on the US Billboard Hot 100, the main singles chart, and 24th on the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100.
