Indie Band Vocalist Sanghyun Na Apologizes and Expresses Deep Remorse Over Sexual Harassment Allegations
Vocalist Sanghyun Na of the indie band Nasanghyunssi Band has apologized regarding allegations of inappropriate physical contact during a past drinking gathering.
On May 23, Sanghyun Na stated on his social networking service (SNS), "I apologize to anyone who may have felt discomfort or unpleasantness due to my past actions."
Recently, posts have been circulating on SNS and online communities alleging that Sanghyun Na engaged in inappropriate physical contact with a female companion during a past drinking party. The original poster claimed, "If a woman was seated next to him at a drinking gathering, he would repeatedly touch her thigh while intoxicated or leave his hand in place if the woman was drunk."
In response, Sanghyun Na said, "I caused hurt in situations where I do not clearly remember the specific circumstances after drinking in the past," and added, "I deeply regret not apologizing directly at the time, and I would like to offer a personal apology even now." He also stated, "Three to four years ago, I was criticized for my words and actions while intoxicated, and I have since reflected deeply and worked to improve my behavior."
