Korea University of Technology and Education Selected as Outstanding Workplace for Employee Health Promotion
Contribution to Planning and Operating Health Promotion Programs
Korea University of Technology and Education announced on the 20th that it has been selected as an 'Outstanding Workplace for Employee Health Promotion Activities' by the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency.
The Outstanding Workplace program is a system that evaluates health promotion activities voluntarily implemented by employers and employees, in accordance with the Ministry of Employment and Labor's notification.
Korea University of Technology and Education was selected as an Outstanding Workplace in recognition of its efforts since 2021, including establishing a safety and health management policy, opening three campus trail routes, and providing indoor sports facilities, as well as planning and operating a variety of health promotion programs.
In particular, the walking program conducted last year to reduce body fat received a great response from staff, with the total body mass index of all participants decreasing by 12.21%.
Jung Jichang, Director of Safety Management, said, "We will continue to identify and operate various health promotion activities so that our university employees can work in better health."
