Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency to Train 100 AI Specialists... Applications Open Until May 28
The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency is launching an initiative to cultivate artificial intelligence (AI) specialists.
On May 20, the agency announced that it will be accepting applications for trainees for the "AI Specialist Training Program" until May 28, in order to nurture digital talent that meets corporate demand.
This program aims to provide young people in the province with opportunities to develop into professionals with practical skills in the field of AI, while also fostering digital talent that aligns with the digital transformation across industries in the region and the needs of local companies.
One of the key features of the program is that it goes beyond theory-based lectures by leveraging the latest AI technologies and platforms from global big tech companies, offering hands-on, project-based training that is directly linked to employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.
This year, in particular, the number of participating companies will be expanded to five?AWS, Google Cloud, NAVER Cloud, NVIDIA, and Microsoft?with plans to train a total of 100 AI specialists, 20 for each company.

Each company will design its own curriculum using its platforms and technologies, and trainees will receive practical, hands-on education covering everything from AI theory to project-based exercises and portfolio development.
Participants will also receive various forms of support, including opportunities to obtain big tech company certifications, site visits to big tech companies, and job mentoring. In particular, outstanding graduates will receive additional support such as IR pitching consulting and mentoring at the "Tech Day" event scheduled for October.
Youth interested in participating can check the announcements for each course and apply through the Gyeonggi Business Secretary website. Eligible applicants are unemployed youth aged 19 to 39 who either reside in Gyeonggi-do or are graduates (or expected graduates) of universities (including graduate schools) in the province.
