Standardization of Internal and External Authentication Systems
Implemented for Shinhan EZ General Insurance Using i-ONE PASS
Ideatech announced that it has successfully implemented standardized internal and external authentication systems for Shinhan EZ General Insurance by utilizing 'i-ONE PASS'.
This implementation was based on the current FIDO standard, specifically the FIDO UAF 1.1 protocol, enabling system integration so that multiple services can be accommodated with a single authentication system. As a result, it reduces the costs and burdens associated with operating separate authentication systems for each service and enhances management efficiency by applying consistent security policies.
Recently, a series of security incidents such as customer information leaks and hacking have heightened awareness of the vulnerabilities of SMS-based security and the importance of robust security measures. As a result, authentication methods based on biometric authentication are rapidly gaining prominence.
Ideatech's i-ONE PASS applies app-based ▲FIDO biometric authentication, allowing users to log in via an ▲integrated authentication app using biometric methods. This approach addresses the vulnerabilities of traditional authentication systems that rely on passwords, which can be lost or duplicated, by utilizing biometric authentication based on unique personal characteristics.
