According to the county, in order to operate a safe festival free of infectious diseases, intensive disinfection using drones will be carried out at the festival site and the Gwanbangjerim area until May 6, when the festival concludes.
In addition, regional disinfection activities for areas vulnerable to infectious diseases will be conducted concurrently until October. To this end, the county plans to organize regional disinfection teams to systematically carry out pest control and infectious disease prevention activities.
Since November of last year, the county has taken a proactive approach by applying eco-friendly larvicide to 390 locations, including village halls, tourist attractions, and septic tanks in public restrooms. During the summer, when mosquito activity is high, the county will continue to conduct spraying disinfection using eco-friendly products at least once a week, focusing on vulnerable areas.
In addition, to promote voluntary disinfection by residents, the county is operating a program to lend portable disinfection devices and provide free disinfection supplies, while also actively promoting resident participation in disinfection activities.
A county official stated, "Through eco-friendly mosquito larva control, we will do our best to block sanitary pests at an early stage, prevent infectious diseases, and create a pleasant living environment."
