[Market Focus] G2Power Rises as Lee Jaemyung Announces West Coast Energy Expressway... Boosting ESS Industry Competitiveness
G2Power is showing strong performance. This is interpreted as being influenced by Lee Jaemyung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea, announcing plans to build the West Coast Energy Expressway by 2030 to strengthen the competitiveness of the energy storage system (ESS) industry.
As of 10:54 a.m. on April 24, G2Power was trading at 8,080 won, up 3.33% from the previous day.
On this day, Lee stated on Facebook, "We will transmit 20GW-scale offshore wind power from the southwest coast to major industrial complexes through a marine power grid and expand RE100 (100% renewable energy) industrial complexes nationwide." He added, "With the goal of completing construction by 2040, we will begin building a 'U'-shaped Korean Peninsula Energy Expressway and establish a marine grid across the entire peninsula."
He further stated, "We will connect renewable energy production sites with large-scale industrial areas to create 'RE100 industrial complexes' nationwide." He also emphasized, "We will link solar and wind energy with energy storage systems (ESS), green hydrogen, and heat pumps, and utilize AI-based intelligent power grids to create energy self-sufficient villages."
