"Acquired Mutation Society"... Seogi Beom Solo Exhibition Captures Uncomfortable Truths Caused by Human Selfishness
Seo Gibum's 13th Solo Exhibition
At Bucheon Art Center Until the 30th
Artist Seo Gi-beom will hold his thirteenth solo exhibition at the first-floor gallery of Bucheon Art Center from the 23rd to the 30th.
This exhibition, titled "Acquired Mutant Society," consists of paintings expressing the socially and ecologically transformed realities caused by rapidly changing modern civilization and human selfishness.
The artist visualized acts such as disregard for life, environmental destruction, and the neutering and vocal cord removal of companion animals?resulting from anthropocentric thinking?as the concept of "acquired mutation." Through abstract forms, malformed structures, and distorted biological images, he captures the uncomfortable truths of reality.
The artist presents the possibility of life and coexistence according to the original order through the message that "mutations originating from nature are beautiful."
