Korea Tech Freshman Wins Excellence Award at Spring Conference of Service Marketing Society

View original imageKorea University of Technology and Education announced on the 15th that Kim Hyerin, a freshman in the Department of Industrial Management, received the Excellent Poster Presentation Award at the Spring Academic Conference of the Service Marketing Society.
The conference was held at Yonsei University on the 11th, where Kim Hyerin presented a paper titled "A Comparative Study on Linguistic Characteristics of Search Advertisement Service Texts: Focusing on Korean and German Google Advertisement Cases."
This research was conducted jointly with Choi Jaeseung, a student from the Department of German Language and Literature at Seoul National University, and analyzed that the linguistic characteristics of advertising expressions between the two countries stem from differences in cultural communication styles.
Kim Hyerin said, "The academic conference was a great challenge and an opportunity for growth. Through exchanges with students from other universities and international participants, I gained a broader perspective and valuable experiences," adding, "I want to continue focusing on my major and pursue convergence research in text linguistics and digital marketing."
Meanwhile, Hong Myungwan, a fellow student from the same department, along with three group teams, also received encouragement awards.
