The Gwangju Seo-gu Council Policy Advisory Group (headed by Kim Hyeongmi) announced on the 14th that they visited the site of the Hwa-jeong Hanguk Adelium 57 construction accident to inspect the circumstances of the incident and hold a meeting with local residents.

View original imageThis visit was part of follow-up measures after the collapse risk accident that occurred during the apartment scaffolding reinforcement work on the 8th. The Policy Advisory Group focused on inspecting the safety and recovery status of the accident site.
They also held a meeting with site officials to hear about the situation at the time of the accident and the extent of the damage, and sought ways to improve the safety management system at construction sites. The Policy Advisory Group listened to the concerns of residents living near the site and worked to develop practical measures to support victims and create a safer residential environment.
Kim Hyeongmi, head of the Policy Advisory Group, said, "This accident has once again reminded us of the importance of safety at construction sites," and added, "Seo-gu Council will continue to do its utmost to prevent similar accidents from recurring through thorough safety inspections and preventive measures."
Meanwhile, the Seo-gu Council Policy Advisory Group is enhancing the professionalism and efficiency of council operations through policy proposals and advice on legislative activities and local issues. They have been actively inspecting safety issues and proposing related policies at sites such as the Hwa-jeong-dong I-Park collapse and the Hwa-jeong Gold Class 2nd construction site.
