[Featured Stock] DSC Inve Hits Upper Limit on News of Lee Jae-myung's Visit to Puriosa
As of 9:30 AM on the 14th, DSC Investment is trading at 8,410 KRW on the KOSDAQ market, up 29.98%. This appears to be due to the news that Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party of Korea's presidential primary candidate, will visit AI semiconductor fabless startup PuriosaAI as his first official schedule after declaring his candidacy.
DSC Investment, one of the leading venture capital (VC) firms in Korea, is known to have continuously invested in PuriosaAI from the seed stage and holds more than 10% of PuriosaAI's shares.
PuriosaAI, considered one of the two major pillars of the domestic AI semiconductor industry along with Rebellion, attracted significant attention in early February when it was revealed that Meta, the U.S. company behind Facebook and Instagram, was pursuing an acquisition. At that time, DSC Investment's stock price, which had been below 3,000 KRW, also began to surge.

Concerns about semiconductor technology leakage arose, leading to a public hearing at the National Assembly where Baek Jun-ho, CEO of PuriosaAI, and Yoon Geon-su, CEO of DSC Investment, attended as witnesses and shared their opinions openly. Subsequently, it was reported that PuriosaAI ultimately rejected Meta's acquisition proposal at the end of last month.
