2025 KCIA Korean Consumer Industry Assessment 'Food Service Industry' Results Announced for Some Areas in Seoul
KCA Korea Consumer Evaluation announced the results of the 2025 KCIA Korea Consumer Industry Evaluation 'Food Service Industry' for the Seoul districts of Yeongdeungpo, Yongsan, Eunpyeong, Jongno, Jungnang, and Jung-gu, hosted by the Korea Consumer Council and organized by Korea Consumer Evaluation.
This evaluation aims to realize the eight fundamental consumer rights guaranteed by Article 4 of the Framework Act on Consumers, including the right to have consumer opinions reflected, the right to receive information, and the right to choose, by publishing consumer evaluation results by industry according to the standard industrial classification. It also seeks to provide consumers with objective and useful information to improve the quality of consumer life.
The 2025 KCIA Korea Consumer Industry Evaluation 'Food Service Industry' is conducted to introduce to the public excellent companies that provide high-quality food service to consumers in line with changes in the domestic food service industry and have received high evaluations from actual visitors.
The evaluation was based on the number of reviews on portal sites from January to February. A preliminary survey was conducted by dividing the country into regions, and candidates who received evaluations within the top 33.4% were notified. Finally, excellent companies within the top 0.11% in the metropolitan area (Seoul, Gyeonggi, Incheon) were selected through the evaluation criteria below.
Korea Consumer Evaluation visited the food service companies and conducted a final evaluation based on the actual experiences of consumers who used the services. According to six final evaluation criteria?△food satisfaction △facility satisfaction △staff friendliness △price appropriateness △accessibility △overall evaluation?one to three excellent companies were selected per region and food category. The announcement list is as follows.
A representative of Korea Consumer Evaluation stated, "Recently, the food service industry has been evolving beyond simply providing meals to offering spaces where consumers want to stay and differentiated experiences. Amid active use of healthy ingredients, eco-friendly management, and introduction of unique store concepts, customized services reflecting diverse consumer tastes and needs are also spreading. We hope this announcement, which introduces food service companies highly rated by consumers in this trend, will help broaden the range of dining choices and contribute to the continuous growth of the food service industry as a whole."
